The Biggest Loser is…

The Biggest Loser Finale is finally here! They started off the show by bringing Koli and Daris out on stage to see who America voted for. They both looked amazing at their goal weight. Daris has a new girlfriend, Heather, and he looks very happy.

America Votes!

America voted for Daris! That was a huge surprise since Daris had gained weight in the last week and had trouble with stress eating.

Shay Weighs In

Shay will get $1,000 for every pound she loses from last season’s weigh in and tonight.

She started at 304 lbs. She now weighs 252 for a total loss of 52 lbs. Jared from Subway presented Shay with the check for $52,000. They gave her another challenge. If she completes a marathon with Jared, Subway will double the check.

Shay lost a total of 224 lbs since she started on the Biggest Loser.

30 Days at Home

The 4 remaining Biggest Loser contestants return home for 30 days before they have to go back to the ranch to weigh in to determine the final 3.

Everyone weighed in when they got home and in 4 months…

Daris lost 151 lbs
Mike lost 204 lbs!
Ashley lost 143 lbs
Koli lost 172 lbs

Last Challenge – The Biggest Loser Marathon

The Biggest Loser contestants will compete in the Biggest Loser Marathon. Everyone who finished will get to give $10,000 to the charity of their choice. Ashley and Mike decided to team up and run the marathon together.

Facing Challenges at Home

Daris is struggling with stress eating, and fell off the wagon one night. Daris over trained for the marathon and hurt his knee.

Koli got distracted from all the family and friends at home, so he decided to go train in Las Vegas, NV with a kickboxer.

Ashley went out with friends and stayed out too late.

Running the Marathon

The record for the best time in the Biggest Loser Marathon is 4 hours 55 minutes set by Tara.

At mile 13 Daris was met by Matt Hoover, the winner from season 2. Koli was met by Sione (who looked bigger than before) at the halfway mark. At mile 11, Ali Vincent (still as trim as the day she won) met Ashley, and then Mike from last season (who looked like a million) met Michael.

Daris finished the marathon in 4 hours 2 minutes!!
Koli finished in 6 hours 8 minutes
Ashley and Mike finished together at 6 hours 26 minutes

The Single Red Line

Daris and Ashley kept Michael in the game for his vote this week. But this week, there is no yellow line, no voting. There is only a single red line, and the player with the lowest percentage of weight loss will be automatically eliminated. So, Daris and Ashley made a big mistake!

Past Contestants Visit the Ranch

Season 7 winner, Helen, returned. She lost a total of 140 lbs and she’s obviously kept most of it off. Season 3 winner, Erik Chopin, lost 214 lbs and returned to the ranch. He gained all his weight back, but he’s been trying to lose and has lost 70 lbs so far.

Michael Hits a Wall

Michael is upset that he will leave the Biggest Loser ranch as a fat person. It’s hard for him to see Koli and Daris and Sam all within a few pounds of their goal weight.

16 Hills of Sand

In this competition, the contestants will be carrying all the weight they lost over 16 hills of sand – one hill for each week on the ranch. As they get over the hill they can drop that amount of weight that they lost that week. The winner of the race wins $10,000!

• Sunshine will be carrying an extra 97 lbs
• Ashley will be carrying an extra 136 lbs
• Daris will be carrying 141 lbs
• Koli will be carrying 159 lbs
• Michael will be carrying 192 lbs

Daris pulled ahead right from the start and won the $10,ooo. He can trade the $10,000 for a 1 lb advantage – which he took without any thought.

Makeover Week on Biggest Loser

Contestants get to go shopping with a $1,000 each, and a brand new look. They will then go to a concert to enjoy and celebrate their new looks. For many of them, this was a new experience. One that they didn’t know how to do. Mike had to shop alone even after losing an entire person, he has to shop at the big and tall store.

New Hair For Everyone

Mike and Daris made the biggest change with their haircuts. They had such afros before.

Sunshine was met by her brothers in her mirror. Koli was met by his parents with a lai to celebrate his accomplishments. Ashley was met by her sister and friend. Sam looked amazing! His parents came with a lai. Daris looked completely different without the curly hair, and was met by his sister and father. Mike stepped in the mirrors and made an amazing transformation. He looked like a handsome man!! He was met by his sisters, one of which who wants to lose weight herself.

Ashanti Performs

Ashanti performed her single “Shine” for the contestants and their families.

Jacob’s Ladder Challenge

Each contestant has a Jacob’s Ladder suspended over a pool. If they fall off into the pool they are out of the challenge. The last person left on their ladder wins a 1 lb advantage. Jacob’s ladder is one that never stops (like a stairmaster). First one to fall into the water gets a 1 lb penalty!

Ashley was the first one out after only 3 minutes and got the penalty.

#2 Mike = 5 minutes
#3 Sunshine =47 minutes
#4 Sam = 55 minutes

Daris and Koli battled it out for a long time! They didn’t seem phased by the stairs. Daris finally jumped off at 2 and a half hours and Koli won a 1 lb advantage!
