Biggest Loser Goes Home

March 24th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Biggest Loser Show

I cried for the first 5 minutes of the Biggest Loser – all happy tears. The Biggest Loser contestants went home for a week. Their homecomings were truly heartwarming. But the contestants got a surprise when they got home…

A workout bike and a box of cupcakes with a DVD. Which leads me to this week’s challenge and temptation:

Bicycling Challenge and Cupcake Challenge

The contestants will have to ride 26.2 miles  (a marathon) by themselves. The first with the best time wins $10,000!

But the temptation includes the box of cupcakes. For every 100 calorie cupcake they eat, they can add 5 minutes to the player of their choice bicycle time.

  • Koli and Sam chose not to eat cupcakes
  • Lance ate 17 cupcakes
  • Mike ate 6 cupcakes
  • Daris chose not to eat cupcakes
  • Sunshine chose not to eat cupcakes
  • Stephanie chose not to eat cupcakes
  • Andrea ate 9 cupcakes
  • Ashley chose not to eat cupcakes

The Cycling Marathon

All contestants were on the same bike at the same time, with their family member on the phone to find out who was in the lead and how far everyone had gone.

  • Sam finished first at 1:17:00
  • Koli finished second at 1:18:40
  • Lance finished third at 1:19:01
  • Sunshine finished fourth at 1:23:29
  • Daris finished fifth at 1:25:35
  • Andrea finished sixth at 1:36:35
  • Stephanie finished seventh at 1:37:05
  • Ashley finished eighth at 1:40:48
  • Mike finished ninth at 1:41:30

32 cupcakes were eaten in total.

  • Sam had 10 cupcakes added to his time
  • Stephanie had 7 cupcakes added to her time
  • Sunshine had 6 cupcakes added to her time
  • Drea had 5 cupcakes added to her time
  • Daris had 4 cupcakes added to his time
  • Lance, Ashley and Michael had ZERO cupcakes added
  • Koli had zero cupcakes added to his time and WON!

Work Week on the Biggest Loser

March 9th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in Biggest Loser Show

O’Neal joins the blue team and was ecstatic to see his daughter Sunshine was still on the team.

Work Week

The contestants will have to go to work each day at Feeding America, and learn to fit in their workouts and bring their healthy meals.

Truck Pull Competition

The contestants will win groceries for one year if they can pull a semi down a track and complete a puzzle at the finish line. Blue team has an obvious advantage with all the big guys on their team. The black team was behind, but not by much. It was amazing to see all those women and Sam pull a 33,000 lb truck.

Blue team used their advantage and pulled it out in a close match to spell “Groceries for a year”.
